Product Review for Martin Universal Design Liberty Melamine Drafting Table
I bought this table for my 10-year old daughter and she is very happy with it so far. Right now she does her homework on it. I will be home-schooling her in the Fall and we will need something that she can use daily for writing, drawing, reading, etc. This table is big and sturdy enough for her to do all of her schoolwork, plus arts, crafts, and sewing. She loves the fact that it has a built-in pencil trough, shelf, and book caddy. I like the fact that it tilts up, helping to improve her posture and reducing strain on her neck when she spends long periods of time at her desk. She is able to tilt it and put it back down without assistance. The table is also height adjustable, so we can use it for years to come. The quality is good, from what I can tell. Pretty easy to assemble - no problems. I bought a very nice desk chair for my daughter too, but unfortunately, the arms of the chair are at the exact same height as the table top when adjusted to a comfortable height. Perhaps a stool or an armless chair would be a better choice. All in all, a very good table for the money.
BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
